Title: Serial Data Logger cannot connect to port used by MX925 PCI 3.x, pin pad
Post by: ekarageorgos on March 22, 2018, 07:59:21 AM
hello everyone,

Recently I downloaded the Serial Data Logger and set it up to collect the data transferred between an POS register and a MX925 PCI pin pad (Verifone)

When I start the logger I get an error that it cannot connect to the port.

Has anyone encountered this before? If yes, is there a solution?

Could it be a security setting that blocks it? Or a configuration setting I could change?

thx
effie

Hello.

Please, try to enable the "Spy" mode.

Thanks for the response

I already tried and it did not work.

One thing I forgot to note is that it is a virtual port

You should start our logger before any other application will use it.

Thanks for the response

I tried this. Both the DataLogger and pin pad looked healthy but as soon as I tried to use the card in the pin pad, i got PIN PAD Error

Any other ideas?

thx!
