Hi There.

When using the Com Port Stress Test program to send data out of one port, loop it back and receive on the same port, can any integrity checking be done on the received data to check for lost or mangled bytes?

Thanks,

Steve.

I'm sorry, but the software doesn't check data.

I'm looking for software that can be used to automate testing of a serial device server (little black box that is made to extend RS-232 signals over Ethernet)

So I would need a product that can:

1.  send data out the serial port
2.  require a loopback plug / loop configured on the remote equipment (or maybe even a remote PC running this same software)
3.  compare sent data to received data and report corruption / errors
4.  automatically change speeds and settings to test every possible combination the COM port can do
5.  test at each setting for a given length of time, or packets
6.  log the results in a text file

Do you offer software like this?  Or know of software that can do stuff like that?

Thank you :)
