Title: How to avoid serial datalogger opens in two instances Post by: Deiseyer on June 12, 2013, 08:42:59 PM Hi,
I'm working with advanced serial data logger, this is installed in a server, but sometimes when another user opens session, datalogger do too, it causes the first one opened gets blocked. There is some way to configure datalogger that opens only once? Thanks Title: Re: How to avoid serial datalogger opens in two instances Post by: Arthur Grasin on February 02, 2024, 02:00:00 PM You may configure the logger to start as a service.

If I configure Data logger as a service, how can I monitor or audit it? Thanks Title: Re: How to avoid serial datalogger opens in two instances Post by: Arthur Grasin on February 02, 2024, 02:00:00 PM You may start second instance in the console mode when you'll need it.

I'm trying to monitoring data logger service, but when I open a second instance, it can't get information from port, it is already open by another device. It is another way to see what data logger is doing? Thanks Title: Re: How to avoid serial datalogger opens in two instances Post by: Arthur Grasin on June 17, 2013, 08:07:02 PM When you start a second instance, it should ask about the console mode. In this mode the program gets all info from the service.

I've been trying starting datalogger as second instance, but each time it opens normally, it doesn't ask about the console mode, can I open it by other way?, I add a picture Thanks Title: Re: How to avoid serial datalogger opens in two instances Post by: Arthur Grasin on June 18, 2013, 07:20:55 AM I see, you are using an old version. This feature was added in v4.
