Title: Data Logger NMEA translation to .csv & .xls Post by: toniliuchandra on February 15, 2011, 11:00:00 AM Hello Mr. Arthur Good evening, I just download your NMEA data logger (Advance NMEAData Logger Version 2.6.1 Build 1015 Trial version) for data export module i have download DDE server,Direct Excel connection,Local database,OPC server but it so difficult to used I have capture a TCP from my AVL that i purchase from UK recently That AVL device used a GSM(sms) & GPRS packet data Trough a transmit TCP protocol I was able to capture the data using Your softwere. the capture data is below is attach test.txt --> ( i dont know what kind of Format that was transmit trough TCP ) Note: By SMS Request My AVL will reply to me in a sms (short massage contain NMEA 0183) but in TCP i dont now in what format NMEA is it.?? (see test.txt) i was able only translate from your capture data, i know that this format was --> in (DegMMMM) <-06 08.0458,106 50.5629> I have read your website but i just can get what i wanted below: 1. could your software filter, translate and export to .csv or .xls type file. only the ,time,date,speed,Lat & Long in format (DegMMMM) <-06 08.0458,106 50.5629> (because i know that my AVL device could do this..--> see attach file DATA FROM UK TCP SERVER.csv that download from DATA FROM UK TCP SERVER Request: I need a spoon feed or the easy way so that the data that i capture i cant export to / or like attach file DATA FROM UK TCP SERVER.csv If you could how much should i purchase..?? ;D Best Regard's Toni LIU email:toniliuchandra@gmail.com Title: Re: Data Logger NMEA translation to .csv & .xls Post by: Arthur Grasin on February 15, 2011, 11:00:00 AM Your device uses a customized NMEA format and our NMEA logger can't parse it. You should use our Advanced TCP/IP Data Logger instead. You should activate the ASCII data parser and extract values from your data packet. Please, visit our tutorials sections and read about the parser settings:
http://www.aggsoft.com/tcpip-data-logger/tutorials.htm All your data are comma delimited, therefore you should use the "Delimited" (look at the image). Our software doesn't convert data to your format (DegMMMM). It is necessary to activate the Expressions plugin and create a corresponding expression. At the final step you should activate the Local database data export plugin that will create xls or csv files for you.
