Title: Direct Excel Connection (NMEA Logger)
Post by: JN on May 18, 2010, 01:31:42 PM
Hi,

i am using the advanced nmea logger trial version and want to export logged data to excel.
i tried to configure the direct excel connection correctly.
but i got a problem. i start the nmea logger. data will be logged.
notification shows: "Direct Excel Connection.Data have been processed successful."
But Excel does not open or is writing anything in an opened file....
i am using excel 2010, but i tried it with excel 2007, too.

thanks for help.

Did you bind a parser variables to excel columns? You can do it on the "Binding" page.

yeh, i got it now.
but theres another problem, when i use the nmea data logger with direct excel connection.
the time interval isnt 1 sec all the time. sometimes there are a few seconds between two data packs.

Do you see a delay between data output on the screen and excel?

i will test it. but without running the excel connection the data is recorded every second. and i need it every second.

ok, there is definitly a delay between output data screen and excel. but i think it could be a problem of my CPU.
My CPU works with 90 percent of its capacity when i´m running nmea logger with direct excel connection. If i stop the direct excel connection the system works fine and records nmea data every second.

You can try alternatives for the Direct Excel Connection plugin. For example, Excel Export Professional or Local Database. These plugins don't require plugins and may work better on your system.
