I have recently purchased a second copy of Advanced Serial Port Monitor. I have installed it on a new PC running Win7 64-bit.
If I run the Advanced Serial Port Monitor, the program crashes. See the attached screenshot. If I right-click on the program icon and "Run as Administrator", then it nuns correctly (i.e. does not crash).
I have tried the following steps, without success:
- I added aspmon.exe to the DEP exclusion list, as described in the Knowledgebase, but it still crashes.
- I have tried un-installing and reinstalling the program.
- I have tried un-installing and reinstalling the program as well as deleting keys and program settings.
I would appreciate any suggestions on how to fix this. I need to be able to run this program without giving it Administrator rights each time.
Regards,
Nigel
