don't see ability to parse ACD records. The mitel SMDR format appears to be supported by pbxparser.dll, but i am trying to parse the ACD records. how can i define what the records look like (this field starts at col 1 and ends at col 3, next field starts col 5 and ends at col 10, etc)... all the modules appear grayed out unless i select a parser module, but the columns are wrong.

uhm. yeah. sounds like you've actually never used the software with a pbx. doesn't mean the software won't work, just that i'll have to figure it out myself... that's not a problem (i've been to school a few years), but was hoping for some "lessons learned" before having to learn them all myself.

your answers confuse me. if SDP relies upon the database client to be installed and configured, why do i need to configure SDP for ports and such?
i am concerned that aggsoft says the software works with oracle, but yet doesn't know what is required to work with oracle.
assume i have a computer with a fresh install of windows XP pro. what software do i have to install (beyond the aggsoft data logging software) in order for this to work with oracle? let me know what YOU have installed, and how YOU configured it.
the documentation is severly lacking in this area.

i read the activex documentation but am confused as to what exactly the software does. I see i can register for events, start and stop the logger, etc, but see no way to actually retrieve data.
is the logging software required as well, or is the activex control stand-alone?
can you provide a short sample program that demonstrates the use of this activex control?

i do not see anything in the documentation concerning configuration of ports for SQL Server and Oracle. Where would these be set up? On the server side, configuring non-standard ports allows for a modest increase in security (but if SDP is unable to utilize, that's not so good).
is there a way to see (and hopefully edit) the actual connection string used to connect to the database?
In cases where connection pooling (load balancing, fail-over) has been enabled on the network, how can this be configured within SDP?
Does any additional database client software need to be installed in order to use SDP? Thinking specifically of the Oracle clients... if oracle client software is necessary, can the thin client be used in lieu of the thick client?
thanks

i'm confused: you don't know if mitel provides a data logging interface? you don't know if mitel has a database?
how does AGG's software connect to the mitel? Do i need a special cable?
in the event that the hardware running the AGG software crashes, locks up, loses power, or somehow otherwise becomes disconnected from the 3300 ICP, is there any data loss between that time and when the two systems are once-again connected?
