Possible causes of [LEN=0]?

Hello,
I am trying to detect the message sent to a system over the serial port. It's a 64-bit Windows 2k3 server box. There is an application receiving data right now over the serial port. I shut it down and ran Advanced Serial Port Monitor. All I get is "LEN=0" when messages are sent from the originating box.
1) Is ASPM Windows 2k3 64-bit compliant?
2) What are possible causes of this? I should say that I see "LEN=0" pop up when the communication originates.
Thanks,
I

1. Yes, the program works on this OS. Do you use the spy mode?
2. If you are using the spy mode, then please, try to start your program after you'll open the port in our software. It is possible the originating box requires a request from the PC side.
Does the status bar of our software display how many bytes are received?
