In your "OPEN" window, at the bottom, where it says file type, is it possible to change the default type from "Default files(*.nc, *.ncp)" to "All Files(*.*)? Is it also possible to change the default "Look In:" location at the top of the window?

1. The program uses from extensions from machine parameters (Edit - Properties - Machine) to build the file type list. Therefore you may redefine your default extensions there.

2. By default, the program uses last path in an Open dialog. But you may change this behaviour to define a default path here: Edit - Properties - Machine - Files).
