Serial Port Emulator Timeouts issues

Hi

This may be in the wrong area, please help if it is!!!!

We have a medical device which is RS232 serial based and when connected to PC the manufacturer software connects fine on com X etc.

We have create a GPRS tunnel to make this device remote and we can use Hyperterminal to connect to the device and solicit information from the device no poblem.....

What we would like to do is to use the manufacturer software through the GPRS tunnel. So when we try it briefly connects recognises the device and show the software for 5 second before disconnecting. We think it may be a timout issue owning to the Gprs versu hard cable connection......


Has anyone any idea of how we may solve this issue?
